Yu-Han (Eugenia) Chao was born and grew up in Taipei, Taiwan, and works as a Registered Nurse in Intensive Care. She received her BA from National Taiwan University, BSN from California State University, Stanislaus, MFA from Penn State University, and MSN from Purdue University. She taught writing at Penn State University, Merced College, and the University of California, Merced. The Backwaters Press published her poetry book, We Grow Old, and her chapbooks were published by Dancing Girl Press, Imaginary Friend Press, BOAAT Press, and Green Tower Press. Red Hen Press published her short story collection, Sex & Taipei City, in 2019.
